Meet Lexx 9 Eleven: find out why this Queens Rapper is reminiscent of 50 Cent
Most of you know, i'm not a fan of rappers claiming the street life if they never actually lived it. I believe artist need to be authentic to themselves.
With that being said, Southside Jamaica Queens rapper Lexx 9 Eleven is reminiscent of 50 Cent. Having been shot twice, stabbed, hospitalized and incarcerated, Lexx is still alive and has overcome the many obstacles he faced over the years.
Realizing the street life was not the right path for him, Lexx decided to fully focus on his music career, now he has become one of the most talked about rappers from the new generation coming out of Queens.
Lexx's talent, consistency and work ethic is admired by many. Releasing club anthems like 80's Baby and his current street single "Hammer Dance" helped him gain a loyal following on the streets as well as the internet.
Creating a strong buzz by consistently releasing new music, mixtapes and videos eventually landed Lexx a winning spot at the UMA's (Underground Music Award) in the "best rapper" category.
Not only is Lexx a rapper who's done features with Cali's own "The Game" and is respected by R & B singer Keyshia Cole, he's also a actor who landed a role with DMX in the film "Never Die Alone".
Lexx has managed to do something many up & coming artist find challenging... he gained respect from the DJ's. He can be heard on both HOT 97 & Power 105 in New York City and was a featured guest on the Kay Slay Streetsweepers Radio show.
With a buzz stronger than ever... Lexx is one to watch for. Check out his video below or visit him on twitter @Lexx9Eleven
