50 Cent starts partnership with Floyd Mayweather rival Manny Pacquiao?

50 Cent starts partnership with Floyd Mayweather rival Manny Pacquiao?
Am i the only person confused by this news? Is this a publicity stunt or is it real? According to Yahoo News... 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather's #1 rival Manny Pacquiao are starting a partnership together.

50 announced that he was starting a boxing promotion company called TMT (The Money Team).... I think Floyd was suppose to be involved... Since they are best friends, that would make sense, but alleged 50 and Mayweather are not cool and now 50 is partnering with Pacuiao...

Here's what Yahoo News is reporting...
"50 Cent and I have been talking now for maybe the last two months," Koncz said. "They approached us with the idea to form a promotional company...I think with 50 Cent, with his entertainment connections and his popularity there, combining that with Manny's popularity and expertise in boxing - we can bring a new flavor to boxing." Manny Pacquiao's manager, Michael Koncz, recently told Boxingscene that his fighter and the multi-platinum selling rapper have discussed coming together to form their own promotional collaboration.

Koncz also said that the idea was originally to have Floyd Mayweather as one-third of the partnership, but that Mayweather, apparently, is no longer part of the project. With news like this, the potential seems endless.

Pacquiao's star power, combined with the celebrity reach of 50 Cent, would certainly make some waves. Add in Pacquiao's small-scale promotional company, MP Promotions and the, so far, still mostly intact TMT Promotions stable, and things suddenly start getting real interesting.

One has to wonder what Pacquiao's long-time promoter, Bob Arum really thinks about this. And what about Floyd Mayweather? The fighter who had all the answers and all the connections would suddenly find himself on the outside looking in if the Pacquiao-50 Cent alliance has any truth to it.

Of course, Team Pacquiao is infamous for leaked rumors and intentional misdirections, so everyone will just have to wait before hopping on the Pac-man-"Fiddy" bandwagon. It does make interesting food for thought, though.
