Eve talks being in love with someone from another country "He’s not American", "He’s a good guy"

Love s in the air :) Rapper Eve talks about being happily in love with her new Boyfriend Maximillion Cooper. It's been 9 years since eve released her last album... she also talks about the lack of female MC's in the game.

On why it has been so long since her last album

I don’t think it was anything that was planned. There were other things that were happening in my life like TV shows, movies and traveling. Originally, after “Tambourine” came out, another record was supposed to come out, but I had issues with my record label at the time, which was Interscope. We couldn’t agree on a record, so that took some time. I had to leave them and find a new label. None of it was something I wanted to do. It just happened that way.

On being in love

Well I have a boyfriend, thankfully, so that’s taken care of. He travels as much as I do, so we meet up in different countries, so that keeps it a little exciting. I have to admit it is a bit annoying. I’m more of a hermit. When I’m able to chill, I just chill, and so sometimes stability becomes a problem. But as long as I’m in love, I’m happy.

He’s not a celebrity, thank god. He’s also not American. He’s a good guy, though. We’ve been together for a little while, though, and it’s been really nice.

On the lack of females in Hip Hop

People ask me that all the time. It’s weird. I don’t know where all the females are. By the way, I meet females all the time that tell me, “Yeah, I’m an MC,” and I’m always like, “Good luck, God bless. Make it happen. We need more females.”

On who she would like to work with

I still have people on my list who I’ve been wanting to work with forever like OutKast. Andre 3000, I think is amazing. Adele is amazing. Drake is dope, as far as hip-hop goes. So there’s a lot of different people, but nobody I’m loving at the top of my list right now, though.
